Virtual hosting is a hybrid of dedicated and shared hosting. Each server is provisioned into slots that virtual servers run under. Each virtual server shares physical hardware space with other virtual servers, but each OS runs in it's own space so you can take advantage of the dedicated server features (root/administrator access), and control your own environment, while keeping costs down by sharing physical hardware space with other virtual servers. This is a great option for higher bandwidth and processor intensive applications where price is a concern. Also a great spring board for our dedicated options down the road. Occupying the space between the shared and dedicated hosting formats, a virtual dedicated server offers many of the capabilities and features of dedicated servers, including admin (root) access and dedicated IP addresses, but at a much lower price. Users share a server, but because each virtual dedicated server is effectively isolated from other accounts, the user has full control over the server space.
